Parish Public House Founder and Co-Owner Francis Verret is a Cajun originally hailing from the largest city in Acadiana, Lafayette, Louisiana. After making his home in New Orleans in the early oughts, he was driven north by the winds of Hurricane Katrina, eventually settling in New York's Capital District. In 2006, he became the proprietor of live music venue Red Square, which over the next eight years would become the hottest club in Albany for truly original live music performance.

As the years progressed, so did a slow transformation of the business that has turned Francis' vision of a Cajun restaurant and bar serving up tried and true Cajun specialties, Louisiana's favorite cocktails, and continuing the fine music tradition of both Red Square Albany and his Cajun heritage, into reality.
