The Irish American Heritage Museum will host a Genealogy Weekend on May 5-6. Join them for one day or both! RSVP by calling 518.427.1916.

Fee | $25 per day or $40 for both days (lunch is not included)

Day 1 | Friday
Check in 9:00 at the Museum
9:30 travel to Albany County Hall of Records
10:00 – 12:00 Guided tour and information gathering including immigration records andmarriage certificates. Participants will be told how to read the records & what to do with information once you have found it
12:00 ~ Lunch Druther’s Restaurant
2:00 travel to Albany Diocesan Cemeteries
2:30 Guided tour of the cemetery by cemetery historian Kelly Grimaldi with time to explore on your own

10:15 Lisa Dougherty – Genealogist ~ Using the On-line Irish Roman Catholic Parish Records
11:00 Christine Connell – Troy Irish Genealogy Society ~ What the Society is all about & how to use their records for research.
12:00 – Lunch
2:00 Erica Burke – Crandall Library ~ The Folklife Center
2:45 Terri Moran – Capital District Genealogical Society ~ What their purpose is how they can help.
