Tracks to the Past: Albany History Day at D&H Plaza

Free event at SUNY Plaza

Perhaps the most recognizable building in Albany, the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building is still known by many as the D&H Building, as it was constructed as the headquarters for the Delaware & Hudson Railroad Company in 1914. At this special event, Rudy Garbely, author of Delaware & Hudson: The Final Years, 1968 to 1991, is celebrating the release of this new comprehensive book by bringing together retired managers and employees of the railroad.

  • Speak to retired D&H employees
  • Meet book author Rudy Garbely
  • Purchase a copy of the new D&H book from The Garbely Publishing Company
  • Visit with local model train clubs and railroad organizations
  • View historic displays about the D&H
  • Purchase BBQ food from the non-profit Dining Car Society

Between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.:
