When Women Lead: Intersectional Perspectives on Working for Social Justice
When Women Lead: Intersectional Perspectives on Working for Social Justice
The City of Albany invites you to celebrate Women's History Month with the program When Women Lead: Intersectional Perspectives on Working for Social Justice on March 29 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Free and open to the public.
We are seeing many examples of women's leadership and successful organizing during this period. Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Women's Studies scholar Barbara Smith will discuss women's participation in movements for social justice and the need to recognize the impact of race and class as well as gender and sexuality when working to make change.
