It's covered birding and evolution - next, it will will take on historical archaeology. What is "it"? It's The Science Cafe, and it returns October 17 at 6:00 PM at City Beer Hall with the program titled "Beverwijck, a 17th-c. Dutch Village, Above and Below Ground".

The Irish American History Museum hosts the opening reception for the community art exhibit Scenes from Ireland on September 29 at 7:00 PM.

Exhibit features paintings from local artists consisting of landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, still lifes, interiors, and even portraits. At the reception you will have the chance to meet the artists themselves and learn all about their inspiration and style.
