Ridesharing Services now in Albany


As of June 29, 2017, ridesharing is officially in Albany!

The start of ride sharing in Upstate NY means the state joins 39 others in offering the services statewide. From ridesharingny: Downtown economies will be brighter than ever; hardworking New Yorkers will be able to earn extra income; and we have even more options to get home safely. Drivers will have access to a first-of-its-kind workers compensation fund, and a per-ride contribution to New York State means our roads and bridges will get new, needed funding.

Get to Know Your Neighbors in the Refugee and Immigrant Communities: A Panel Discussion


Albany City Hall will host the panel discussion Get to Know Your Neighbors in the Refugee and Immigrant Communities on June 15 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.

The discussion will center around the experiences and challenges that refugees and immigrants face as they arrive in the Albany area and in the country and ways in which we can help to welcome and support our new neighbors.

CDTA Announces Free Capital City Shuttle


CDTA has partnered with several Albany organizations, including the Downtown Albany BID, to launch the Capital City Shuttle, a free service that link some of the City's most visited neighborhoods - Downtown, Lark Street, and the Warehouse District. The pilot program, which begins June 8 and runs through Labor Day, will be available 5:00 PM - 12:30 AM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with a shuttle arriving every 20 minutes.
