JOHN MULANEY is an Emmy Award winning writer and comedian. He most recently starred in the Broadway hit, "Oh, Hello on Broadway” alongside Nick Kroll. In 2015 Mulaney released his 3rd hour stand up special a Netflix Original titled “THE COMEBACK KID” which the AV Club called “his best hour of his career.”
Alternative Albany Open House
Five institutions in Albany’s Mansion Neighborhood invite the public to attend the second annual Alternative Albany Open House on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Open House is a celebration of community and the activist history of Mansion Neighborhood; and also an invitation for the larger community to engage and strengthen these unique Albany institutions: the Family Life Center, the Free School, Capital South Campus Center, Grand Street Community Arts, and Radix Ecological Sustainability Center.
Heritage Tour and Organ Concert
The First Church in Albany will host a Heritage Tour on May 12 at 6:00 PM, followed by an organ concert at 7:30 PM. Free and open to the public.
Tour info: Delft Tiles from Albany's sister city Nijmegen, Netherlands, given to the First Church in thanks after the World War II clothing and food supply drop will be on view and discussed.
Concert: Renowned Dutch Organist Berry Van Berkum will play a free concert. He will be playing works of Vierne, Widor, Bach, Messiaen and Dutch composers, as well as improvising on our magnificent 4 manual Austin organ.
Wild Bees of New York Photography Exhibit
The exhibit Wild Bees of New York will be on display May 1 - June 25 in the Empire State Plaza concourse outside the Visitors Center and Gift Shop. Photography by Paula Sharp and Ross Eatman.
Sharp and Easton have conducted a two-year project photographing and documenting wild bees at Rockefeller State Park Preserve and neighboring Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture.

RFP | Downtown Dog Park Fencing
The Downtown Albany BID will be constructing a dog park early this summer in Wallenburg Park (corner of Broadway and Clinton Avenue) and RFPs are currently being sought for the fence portion of the park.
Bids are due May 12 at 3:00 PM and can be sent to Don Wilson, Operations Manager, at dwilson@downtownalbany.org.

Dining Out for Life Returns April 27
Dining Out for Life, the annual fundraiser where restaurants across the country donate a portion of their proceeds to AIDS service agencies, returns April 27.
