Alice Moore Black Arts and Cultural Center (AMBACC or “Center”) is an Albany New York-based non-profit organization that is committed to arts and cultural programming. In addition to events and activities for all ages, the Center will provide space for community conversations that will assist in the development of strategic locally-based initiatives.
AMBACC is positioned at the center of the historic South End of Albany, an area of significance to the local Black community. AMBACC will be a hub for civic, arts, and cultural events and programs related to local people and the collective Black experience – past, present, and future.
AMBACC will include the voices of local residents as well as communities from across the region, who seek quality civic, arts, and cultural experiences such as the Black History Film Series and Juneteenth Celebration. The local community will remain a key stakeholder, ensuring that the Center hears the community’s voice and serves its needs. AMBACC will be an anchor and a jewel of the community through its outstanding presence, programs, and events for generations.
