Few things bring people together like dance, and nothing spreads faster than the moves we see online! Dancing Through Time: TikTok & Reels Edition takes audiences on an exciting journey through the most iconic dance trends past and present. This high-energy, interactive performance explores the evolution of movement, from classic social dances to the viral sensations that have taken over the digital world. Along the way, students will discover the cultural roots of these dances, the influence of social media, and how movement continues to shape history and connection across generations.

 

Learning Standards: Next Generation ELA Standards 3-5 L1,4,5,6; Common Core Social Studies (4,5); Performing Arts, Cultural Studies, Physical Education. This program supports learning in historical and cultural appreciation of dance, media literacy, and physical expression through movement.

 

Grade Recommendations: Recommended for grades 2-6. Ideal for elementary and early middle school students who enjoy music, dance, and interactive learning.
