St. Peter's Episcopal Church presents the Festival of Lessons and Carols at 10:30 AM at 107 State Street in downtown Albany.
The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a joyous, music-filled service of scripture and song. We’ll hear nine scripture lessons recounting the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, and the birth of Jesus with each lesson followed by a carol. The carols by the St. Peter’s choir will include such favorites as Ding Dong Merrily on High, In the Bleak Mid-Winter, The Holly and the Ivy, and Lauridsen’s beloved O Magnum Mysterium. There will also be congregational carols including Once in Royal David’s City and Hark the Herald Angels. Join us for this free service and catch the Christmas Spirit.
