Albany Devils Take on Toronto Marlies in Playoffs

The Albany Devils have advanced in the Calder Cup Playoffs, and have won Game 1 in North Division Final best-of-seven series against the Toronto Marlies. The first two games are away, but you can cheer for the Times Union Center-based team in Downtown on Sunday, May 8 (Game 3 | 5:00 PM), Tuesday, May 10 (Game 4 | 7:00 PM) and, if necessary, Wednesday, May 12 (Game 5 | 7:00 PM).

This is the first time the Devils -  the region's only American Hockey League team -  has advanced to the second round of the playoffs. A regional draw for hockey fans, the playoff wins come just one month after announcing a three-season extension of their contract to keep the Downtown entertainment venue home.
