Albany Empire returning to Times Union Center

The National Arena League's Albany team name has been selected - and the Albany Empire will strike back, return to downtown starting April 2021. The news follows an announcement in August that indoor football would return to the Times Union Center under a three-year agreement to play at the Downtown venue. Season tickets are available now here.

Previously, the Albany Empire led the Arena Football League in home game attendance, averaging over 10,000 fans per game and drawing more than 12,000 fans to ArenaBowl XXXII alone. 

Returning with the team name is Albany Empire head coach Rob Keefe and assistant head coach Les Moss, who helped lead the AFL's Albany Empire to ArenaBowl victory in 2019.
