Call for Board nominations

As New York went on PAUSE, so did the Downtown Albany BID's Board election process. We are seeking nominations for candidates to join the BID Board beginning November 2020 and serve three-year terms. Please note that nominations that were previously submitted this year for consideration do not need to be resubmitted. 

The Downtown Albany BID Board of Directors shapes strategy, advocacy, priorities, and initiatives in Downtown. As Albany's fastest-growing neighborhood continues to experience major development including significant residential conversion projects coming online and DRI-funded projects in the pipeline, now is a great time to consider joining the Board. 

We are looking to fill (all for a three-year term): 
(2) Class A Property Owner Board positions Owners of record of real property located within the District further defined as an individual, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or limited liability partnership.

(1) Class B (i) Commercial Tenant Board positions Commercial Tenants who are occupants pursuant to leases of office or retail space in a building.

(1) Class B (ii) Residential Tenant Board positions Residential Tenants who are an owner-occupied or occupant of a residential property (three or more units contained within the property).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be eligible to serve on the BID Board, the nominee must own or represent the owner, or lease a property within the BID District that pays the BID's special assessment tax.
