Downtown is Pawsome Garden Party
The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to announce our 2017 free outdoor Placemaking exhibit: Downtown is Pawsome. Celebrating a local landmark and American icon, this year’s program will feature regional artists customizing twenty 3-foot-tall sculptures of Albany’s famous canine resident Nipper. These painted pups will help creatively reinvent the spaces shared by our neighbors, employees and visitors from June 2017 to May 2018.
This year’s Norman S. Rice Arts, Culture, and Education Award will be presented to historian, author and former NYS Assembly member Hon. Jack McEneny.
Join us as we kick off Downtown is Pawsome with a Garden Party at Tricentennial Park (Broadway & Columbia St) on June 16 at 5:30 PM. Tickets – $60 advance, $65 door ($40 for under 30) – can be purchased using the link below or by sending a check, made out to Downtown Albany BID, to 21 Lodge Street, 1st Floor, Albany, NY 12207. Honorary Committee tickets are also available using the link below.
