Downtown spots among Uber, Lyft top destinations

Ridesharing services Uber and Lyft have released the most popular destinations in and around Albany for 2019, with Downtown locations placing on both companies lists. 

For Lyft, which presents the Lyftie Award to the most popular U.S. ride destinations for more than 50 cities, the most celebrated restaurant/bar in the Albany area was: 

• City Beer Hall

For Uber, Downtown spots in the top 15 destinations for the Albany area are, in order of popularity: 

• City Beer Hall 
• Pearl Street Pub
• Hilton Albany 

Ridesharing in upstate New York was approved in 2017 following years of effort to get the service expanded outside of New York City.
