Inaugural Aurora Games Being Held August 20-25
Times Union Center Hosting All-women International Sports Competition
Downtown Albany will host the inaugural Aurora Games, an all-women international sports competition that will pit teams the Americas and the World against each other in six events from August 20-25, 2019. A first-of-its-kind sports and entertainment festival featuring world class athletes from 15 countries competing in tennis, gymnastics, basketball, figure skating, ice hockey, and beach volleyball, the teams will be led by honorary captains 6-time Olympic medalist Jackie Joyner Kersee and 5-time Olympic medalist Nadia Comaneci as they compete for the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Trophy. In addition to the games, there will also be a Fan Zone, seminars, and more - tickets, $15 to $129, for all events can be purchased here.
