#ShopSmall and win BIG during this year's Small Business Saturday!
INSTRUCTIONS: Read below to learn how to enter the #ShopSmallDowntownAlbany Facebook Selfie Contest
- Make a purchase – any purchase - at a downtown Albany small business on Saturday, November 24. It can be the perfect gift, a superb cup of coffee, a tasty lunch, or a little something for yourself – it’s all here in Downtown!
- Snap a selfie that includes either: you and your purchase(s), you and a holiday wish-list item, or you with your favorite downtown Albany employee while inside the business. Add a pop of color and try to find a branded #ShopSmall poster or item to include in the shot too!
- Upload your photo to Facebook as a post, including the hashtag #ShopSmallDowntownAlbany in the caption. You will also need to tag the business where you got your item either in the caption or on the photo itself.
- Make sure the post is set to “public.” We will not be able to see private posts. Posts made with privacy settings other than “public” will not count in the contest.
- You can post as many #ShopSmallDowntownAlbany selfies at as many businesses as you like. However, only one photo/post per person per business will be accepted. Therefore, the more businesses you patronize, the better your odds become for winning the contest!
- IMPORTANT: Photos must be taken and posted on Saturday, November 24. Any photos posted after 11:59 PM on November 24 will not count towards the contest. Posts that fail to meet the above guidelines will be dismissed.
- Three winners will be chosen at random and announced via the Downtown Albany, New York (@AlbanyBID) Facebook page on Monday, November 26. Each winner will also be contacted individually through a direct message sent to the profile that originally posted the photo.
PRIZES UP FOR GRABS:
- GRAND PRIZE: a $150 gift certificate to the Downtown business(es) of your choice and a $100 gift certificate to use at B. Lodge & Co Department Store. The $150 gift certificate may be spent at one business or split between up to three businesses.
- SECOND PLACE: a $100 gift certificate to spend at the Downtown business(es) of your choice and a $50 gift certificate to spend at B. Lodge & Co Department Store. The $100 gift certificate may be spent at one business or split between two businesses.
- THIRD PLACE: a $50 gift certificate to spend at the Downtown business of your choice and a $50 gift certificate to use at B. Lodge & Co Department Store.
