Two New Eateries Join Downtown Albany Restaurant Week

ALBANY, NYThe Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) announces the return of Downtown Albany Restaurant Week Saturday, April 9-Friday, April 15, 2016. The 17 participating restaurants will offer a three-course meal valued at a minimum of $35.00 for the price of $20.16. The first Restaurant Week in the Capital Region, this marks the 12th year of showcasing many of Downtown’s best culinary offerings and given the popularity of the event, diners are encouraged to make reservations early and directly with the restaurants.

“This is a great way for visitors and Albany residents to get a taste of the wide variety of quality culinary choices in Downtown Albany,” said Mayor Kathy Sheehan, “and it’s an opportunity to see the transformation that is occurring including the hundreds of new residential units in our City Center.”

Two new eateries join this year’s lineup: upscale Asian restaurant Aji Steak Stone & Sushi and modern Mexican restaurant ama cocina, both of which opened in 2015. Additionally, two Downtown retailers will offer deals available only during Restaurant Week: Salon 109, located at 109 State Street, will offer a $25 shampoo and blowout or 25% off any product, and B Lodge & Company, located at 75 N Pearl Street, will offer a 10% discount to all customers who show their Restaurant Week receipt at checkout.
