It's photo contest time! We want to see your best snaps with the Seward Johnson "Celebrating the Familiar" sculptures. Click here for the contest entry form and read on for official rules.
For your chance to win Downtown Albany Gift Cards valued at $50-$150 and redeemable at 40+ locations, submit photos with - or of - the Seward Johnson sculptures by 11:59 PM on October 3, 2021 to [email protected] (questions may also be submitted here). Entries may be submitted as either email attachments or download links via Google Drive or Dropbox. You must choose one category to enter and one photo per sculpture, for up to 10 entries, may be submitted. You may complete and submit the entry form or include the required contact information in the body of your email. Photo montages will not be accepted as eligible submissions. Winners will be determined by public voting via the Downtown Albany BID’s Facebook page October 5-13. One prize per household.
Ambassador of the Streets
Or should we say ambassadog of the streets? For the Ambassador of the Streets category, bring your pet(s) to Downtown and take their photo with any of the Seward Johnson “Celebrating the Familiar” sculptures for a chance to dig up some great prizes.
Follow the Leader
Time to bust out those matching outfits! Get your friends and family together, because for the Follow the Leader category we want to see your best awkward family photo-type pictures posing with, or recreating the pose of, the Seward Johnson “Celebrating the Familiar” sculptures.
Sightseeing
Oh snap! You choose where to focus for the Sightseeing category, so show us your best photos with or of the “Celebrating the Familiar” sculptures however you choose to best capture the artwork.
Three winners will be chosen in each category to receive Downtown Albany Gift Cards. 1st prize: $150 gift certificate; 2nd prize: $100 gift certificate; 3rd prize: $50 gift certificate. One prize per household. Find more information on the Downtown Albany Gift Card and participating locations here.
Photos and information must be submitted by 11:59 PM on October 3 to be eligible. Voting will take place on the Downtown Albany BID's Facebook page beginning on or around October 5, closing at 12:00 PM on October 13.

Please follow all CDC guidelines and be respectful of private property and the artwork while enjoying the photo contest. Photos submitted may be used by the Downtown Albany BID for future promotions.
