Downtown is Pawsome Garden Party

The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to announce our 2017 free outdoor Placemaking exhibit:  Downtown is Pawsome. Celebrating a local landmark and American icon, this year’s program will feature regional artists customizing twenty 3-foot-tall sculptures of Albany’s famous canine resident Nipper. These painted pups will help creatively reinvent the spaces shared by our neighbors, employees and visitors from June 2017 to May 2018.

Please note >> Due to the forecast, this event has been moved from Tricentennial Park to Albany City Hall.

This year’s Norman S. Rice Arts, Culture, and Education Award will be presented to historian, author and former NYS Assemblymember Hon. Jack McEneny.

Join us as we kick off Downtown is Pawsome with our Garden Party at Albany City Hall (24 Eagle Street) on June 16 at 5:30 PM, brought to you by the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and the Downtown Albany BID.
