Albany Capital Center to host boys' state volleyball tournament
The Albany Capital Center has been chosen as the hosting venue for the state boys volleyball tournament beginning in the fall of 2018. The convention center announced a three-year run following a vote on July 25th by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association's Central Committee.
Nipper Week
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and the Downtown Albany BID are sponsoring Nipper Week from Monday, July 31 through Sunday, August 6.
State Education Building Tours being offered to the public for the first time
Starting on August 12, the State Education Building will be offering free tours on the second Saturday of each month. This is the first time the building has been made available for regular public tours since the State Museum and Library were moved from the Education Building to the Cultural Education Center in the 1970s.
