Albany Parking Authority

There are nearly 22,000 parking spaces for employees, residents and visitors, in downtown Albany; capital city of the Empire State. The Albany Parking Authority manages more than one-third of the public parking inventory, including on-street metered spaces.

Albany County Sheriff's Office

The Albany County Sheriff's Office was established in the 1660's and is one of the oldest Sheriff's agencies in the United States. Since its inception, the Agency has consistently grown to its current strength of over 750 employees. The Albany County Sheriff's Office is a "full-service" Law Enforcement Agency providing law enforcement services to residents and visitors of Albany County.

Citizens Preparedness Corps Training

The Times Union Center will host a Citizens Preparedness Corps training on March 21, 2016 at 6:00 PM. The event is free, but registration is required.

Albany County Rape Crisis Center

The Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center began in 1974 as AWARE, Albany Women Against Rape. In 1975, the agency became a department of Albany County and was renamed Albany County Rape Crisis Center. The goal of the agency was to provide crisis counseling to rape victims over a 24-hour hotline, and to provide advocacy and support for victims in area emergency departments and police stations. In addition, efforts were made to publicize the frequency and effect of rape through public presentations.  All services are offered free of charge.

Albany County Probation Department

The mission of the Albany County Probation Department is to ensure the safety of Albany County residents by supervising all juvenile and adult clients on probation and helping them become responsible productive and law-abiding members of the community.

Albany County Division of Finance

The Division of Finance is responsible for the administration of the financial affairs of the County. This includes receipt, custody and investment of public funds; collection of County taxes and maintenance of delinquent tax records; administration of Court and Trust actions; and disbursement of county funds.

Albany County District Attorney's Office

The Office of the Albany County District Attorney is committed to keeping our communities safe.  We work closely with many local and state agencies to ensure our citizens are able to get the help they need when they need it.

Albany County Department of Economic Development Conservation and Planning

Their primary mission is to study the planning, economic development, and conservation needs of Albany County; to formulate and/or carry out plans and recommendations which promote sound and coordinated planning of the entire County; to advise the County Executive, County Legislature, and County Planning Board in such matters. They provide support for the Planning Board and, as such, provide information and technical expertise to assist with their review of land use, zoning, and subdivision applications.

The Department of Consumer Affairs is dedicated to the protection of Albany County consumers and businesses alike. Today's consumer faces a myriad of choices.
