Scrim on Albany's Oldest Building Revealed
Historic Albany Foundation has unveiled two large graphics on the Van Ostrande-Radliff House, Albany's oldest existing building that's also known as 48 Hudson Avenue. The "This Place Matters" project was introduced in mid-June and is intended to expand awareness about 48 Hudson and its significant as Albany's oldest remaining urban Dutch building in the Hudson Valley.
Bites Camera Action | Outdoor Movie Series Lineup Announced
The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to announce its new 2017 outdoor summer entertainment series, Bites Camera Action. Combining the BID’s popular Fork in the Road food truck events and Deja View outdoor movie series, Bites Camera Action offers six evenings of great eats and entertainment outdoors in downtown Albany. Enjoy a wide variety of food vendors, live music and games for all ages from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with movies starting at 8:30, in Tricentennial Park (Broadway & Columbia Street).
Johnny Rockets Grand Opening Celebration
Johnny Rockets and Handcrafted Drafthouse & Sports Bar, located at the Times Union Center, will host a grand opening celebration on June 22 from 3:30 - 6:30 PM.
Celebration to include: Free meals for the first 50 guests, 100.9 The Cat hosting live remote, free samples of burgers, fries, and shakes, face painting, balloon art, digital photo booth, giveaways, happy hour specials, and a chance to win a Florida Georgia Line experience for two.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Albany Police Athletic League.

Nipper Statue Decorating Party
First Church of Albany is participating in the Downtown is Pawsome public art exhibit, and are inviting communitymembers to join them on June 17 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM to help decorate their 3' tall Nipper statue with labels from food items. The goal of the completed statue is to raise awareness for the food pantry program.
Bring yourselves, kids or grandkids, food labels and scissors to Zimmerman Hall at the church. No age requirement or artist talent needed. Lunch will be provided.

Bike Share Stations Announced
The wait for bike sharing in the region is nearly over as CDTA has announced the locations where CDPHP Cycle! stations will be placed. In total, 160 bikes will be available at 38 locations spanning four counties in densely populated, easily accessible areas.

Learn to Row Day
Albany Rowing Center will participate in National Learn to Row Day on June 17. The free event is drop-in and runs 8:30 AM - Noon at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch. Open to ages 12+.
Wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather, bring drinking water, and plan to leave backpacks and other belongings in your car as there is no room in the boat.
