MOVE Music Fest returns for its 7th year in downtown Albany! 

The festival will consist of various acts performing at venues in Albany, New York. The main purpose of this event is to give exposure to regional talent through live performances at select venues and provide musicians with insight on how to conduct their careers in today’s independent music scene.

BANNERS


Born in Liverpool, UK, BANNERS was fascinated by dreams, life, death, hope and despair. He grew up singing in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Choir and the Liverpool Kop. After singing in cathedrals and concert halls across Europe, BANNERS went to work on his own material. Influenced by artists ranging from The Beatles to Arcade Fire, BANNERS' music is at once haunting and hopeful, sure to resonate with audiences across space and age.

Angelo Maddox receives inaugural Downtown Luminary Award


The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) presented its inaugural Downtown Luminary award to Angelo Maddox, owner of Fresh & Fly Clothing, at last evening’s “Let’s Talk Downtown” networking event at Jack’s Oyster House. The event, co-presented by the BID and Capitalize Albany Corporation, offered an update on Downtown development and initiatives to the neighborhood’s business and residential stakeholders.
